Hundreds of cross-sectional studies and clinical trials have demonstrated significant positive associations between religion and health says Dr. Harold G. Koenig, co-director of the Center for Spirituality, Theology and Health at Duke University. Doctors cannot continue to ignore the powerful role that religious beliefs play in coping with illness, he says.

I hear from many people who say they love God but cannot stand Christianity.
